National Association for Continence Enhances Web Site Content and Functionality for Healthcare Providers

(CHARLESTON, SC) – The National Association For Continence (NAFC) announces the launch of a major, new section of its Web site exclusively for healthcare providers who are NAFC professional members.

September 22, 2008 (CHARLESTON, SC) – The National Association For Continence (NAFC) announces the launch of a major, new section of its Web site exclusively for healthcare providers who are NAFC professional members.  The Web site enhancement represents the latest step in the substantial upgrade of NAFC’s electronic services and support aimed at making communications more efficient and more timely.  The new site was officially launched in April, with the goal of becoming more interactive and responsive to internet users, professionals and consumers alike.

Inside NAFC’s new member section, providers will find a rich array of content on bladder and bowel health, voiding dysfunction, and related pelvic disorders, including: archived professional news bulletins, downloadable patient brochures, and “members only” discounts on bulk quantities of materials to supplement the patient educational efforts of all clinical practices in the field.  Special offers will also be posted from time to time.  Members who login online will also be able to sign up to serve as an author for articles in NAFC’s quarterly consumer newsletters and in NAFC’s Speakers Bureau for interviews arranged through NAFC, nationally and locally, with the consumer media.  Once online, professionals will find the new site easier to navigate as well, with key word search features for finding archived materials.

For clinicians who are interested in exclusive access to the NAFC Web site, NAFC offers membership to non-physicians and physicians, as well as discounted group and multi-year memberships.  Providers who join NAFC will enjoy links for consumers to their own web sites and expanded descriptions of their educational credentials, their professional affiliations, and the clinical services that they offer.  Professionals can conveniently join NAFC, renew their membership, and update their information seamlessly while online.

All professional members current as of December 1, 2008, will be eligible for a free week’s stay at the famous Lake Tahoe ski and vacation resort, through a grant from Novasys Medical to NAFC.

The “member only section”, accessible at www.nafc.org, adds one more reason for healthcare professionals to become an ongoing NAFC supporter. NAFC is continually working to be both the leading resource of information for consumers and also serve as an indispensible vehicle to promote access to quality continence care across America.
