NAFC to Hold a Silver Anniversary Dinner Gala

The National Association For Continence (NAFC) is celebrating 25 years of education and advocacy by hosting a Black Tie Dinner Gala on Friday, November 9, at the Emory Conference Center Hotel in Atlanta.

October 12, 2007 (Charleston, SC) – This will be one of a series of special events NAFC is hosting during the first weekend of National Bladder Health Week.

NAFC and Emory are co-hosting a Continuing Medical Education training, “Primary Care for Continence in the 21st Century,” for healthcare providers and a Women’s Educational Forum during the same weekend.  To attend the gala, tickets are available individually or by table. Net proceeds will go towards NAFC’s anniversary capital campaign.

The evening will begin with a cocktail reception for guests. Plans call for a seated dinner and a presentation of awards, distinctions, and acknowledgements to those who have contributed to NAFC’s many endeavors for the past 25 years. Kenneth E. Thorpe, PhD, the Robert W. Woodruff Professor and Chair of the Department of Health Policy & Management in the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University, will speak at the Dinner Gala. Dr. Thorpe received his PhD from the Rand Graduate School, MA from Duke University and his BA from the University of Michigan. Also present will be members of the Board of Directors, speakers who are continence care experts, and NAFC supporters.
