NAFC Elects New Board Member and Officers For 2012
NAFC announced the recent election and re-elections to the Board of Directors
TweetOctober 3, 2011 (CHARLESTON, SC) - NAFC announced the recent election of Paul Fine, MD, professor in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Baylor College of Medicine, to the Board of Directors. His three-year term begins in November 2011. In addition, re-elected for an additional term were John Adams, Esq., of Chicago and Cheryl LeCroy, MSN, RN, of Richmond, VA. The board provides oversight and governance for the direction and operations of the non-profit public health education and patient advocacy organization headquartered in Charleston, SC.
The newly elected board officers for 2012 are as follows:

Ted Johnson MD, MPH, director of the Division of Geriatric Medicine & Gerontology at Emory University Medical Center and director of the Emory Center for Health in Aging, has been elected as Vice Chair. Dr. Johnson is also the Atlanta site director and associate director of the Birmingham/Atlanta VA Geriatrics Rehabilitation, Education and Clinical Center (GRECC) at the Atlanta Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Eric Rovner, MD, professor of urology at the Medical University of South Carolina, has been elected as Treasurer. Holding leadership roles for the American Urological Association (AUA) and the Society for Urodynamics and Female Urology (SUFU), Dr. Rovner also finds time to serves on the Editorial Advisory Panel for NAFC’s monthly e-newsletter, Quality Care®.
Niall Galloway, MB, FRCS, FRCSE, has been re-elected as Chairman of the Board. Dr. Galloway is the director of the Emory Continence Center. Cheryl LeCroy, MSN, RN, has been re-elected as Secretary. LeCroy is the clinical coordinator for the Virginia Women’s Center and also on the board of the Society of Urologic Nurses and Associates (SUNA).
