Welcome to NAFC's web site section designed specifically for healthcare providers working in continence care! If you are already a professional member of NAFC, thank you for your involvement and support of our activities and mission.
NAFC accepts and encourages contributions and support from consumers, healthcare providers, private foundations, and corporations. Your professional support helps to underwrite a wide array of educational programs. Through our initiatives, we are communicating with consumers to equip them with the information and motivation they need for seeking solutions to their problems with bladder and bowel control, voiding dysfunction, and related pelvic floor disorders. At times, we are speaking to an involved family member serving as an enabler, rather than the individual patient. On other occasions, we are communicating with the media - locally, regionally, and nationally - with the goal of improving health literacy of the broader public about the prevalence, symptoms, infrastructure of interdisciplinary experts, diagnostic process, relevant interventions as treatment options, and products for management. In still other venues, we are advocating on behalf of providers and patients for improved access to care, choices, and advances in knowledge. We do this by interfacing with payers, policymakers, and collaborative partners, including your professional associations and societies. Our mission is thus threefold, with intertwined efforts targeted to education, collaboration, and advocacy.
