NAFC and Humana Partner to Help Medicare Beneficiaries

NAFC  has partnered with Humana, one of the nation’s leading health care companies, to educate Medicare beneficiaries about continence care. By utilizing NAFC’s experience, knowledge and resources, Humana will work to improve the health of its Medicare Advantage members who have incidences of bladder control loss.

For the large majority of people, incontinence is treatable and help is available for everyone. This partnership will educate consumers about different interventions and treatment options. Some options are behavioral modifications, like dietary changes such as avoiding caffeine and alcohol or losing excess weight. Other treatment options are pharmacological therapy and surgical treatment. There is an increasing number of management options being developed to help urinary incontinence, including urinary urgency and frequency.
